Reports To: Manager, Integrated Pest Management

Role Summary

The Team Lead, Integrated Pest Management is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of Integrated Pest Management technicians and support staff across a large and diverse portfolio of residential properties. You will supervise day-to-day operations, conduct site inspections, manage escalations, and ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient pest services by creating and implementing scheduling processes, prioritizing pest service requests, and using software applications to track service tickets, monitor treatment progress, and generate performance reports. The supervisor plays a key role in training, coaching, and evaluating staff while acting in a lead role in staff development, process standardization and quality control. Our team ensures smooth coordination between teams and stakeholders while focusing on resident’s health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of IPM technicians performing services, treatments, and follow-ups in residential properties.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide IPM technicians and staff ensuring consistency and quality of work relying on measurable and predictable outcomes.
  • Monitor team performance via audits, field observations, and reporting systems; provide coaching, regular feedback, and development plans as needed.
  • Train team members on job-specific duties, IPM techniques, safety protocols, and company policies, promoting a culture of continuous learning and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform site visits to monitor treatment effectiveness, address complex or persistent pest issues, and support field teams in high-risk or escalated scenarios.
  • Create and implement an effective scheduling system to prioritize pest service requests based on severity, risk, and site needs.
  • Use digital tools and software applications to assign tasks, track service tickets, document outcomes, and report on KPIs.
  • Coordinate work activities with other internal departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Resolve work-related challenges and pest control problems, recommending and implementing measures to enhance team productivity and treatment quality.
  • Assist with requisitioning materials, tools, equipment, and pesticides as required, ensuring compliance with health and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed work progress reports, site inspection records, and pest activity documentation.
  • May manage operations of a dedicated IPM service team or run projects independently as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on IPM or environmental health experience
  • Strong knowledge of IPM principles, pest biology, pesticide application, and relevant legislation (e.g., Pesticides Act, Ontario Regulation 63/09, RentSafeTO, etc.).
  • Experience coordinating large-scale operations, field teams, or contractors in a service delivery and technical environment.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve worksite issues, improve processes, and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, managing schedules, and using field management software or databases.
  • Valid provincial pest control license (required).
  • Full G driver's license with a clean record and reliable vehicle required; must be able to travel between multiple work sites as needed. A car allowance will be provided for work related travel.
