Overview

Job Summary: Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a GNSS Positioning Algorithms Team Lead to oversee the development and implementation of GNSS positioning algorithms. The successful candidate will report to the GNSS Positioning Algorithms Manager and will lead a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our diverse range of clients across sectors such as Mining, Marine, Defense, and Agriculture.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers specializing in GNSS positioning algorithms.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of GNSS positioning algorithms.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, systems engineering, and customer service.
  • Support and aid the recruitment of new talent.
  • Provide input to project planning and scope estimates.
  • Perform performance assessment for their direct reports.
  • Identify challenges, such as test infrastructure deficiencies, and provide options to help alleviate them.
  • Enhance the onboarding process for new hires and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Ensure the test infrastructure and regression suite are functional and effective.
Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in GNSS positioning algorithms and related technologies.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in C++ programing for embedded platforms.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Autonomy & Positioning industry.
  • Familiarity with Hexagon's products and services.

Key Success Factors:

  • Senior level experience with GNSS software design, test libraries, code reviews
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills, teamwork skills and work habits
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrable continuous-improvement track record
  • Strong attention to detail and you excel at documenting these observations
  • Able to problem solve, identify and reduce roadblocks, and, adapt to ambiguous needs
  • A positive can-do attitude and ability to balance multiple projects/priorities in parallel
