Job summary

Intact is seeking a Team Lead in West Personal Lines Pricing Actuarial to manage a small team of 2-3 analysts and lead pricing initiatives. You will report to an actuarial manager and provide technical guidance, ensuring actionable pricing recommendations and profitable portfolio performance.

You will collaborate with underwriting, product, finance, data and other actuarial teams, guiding strategic decisions with insight and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science or equivalent education and experience.
• Designation FCAS or FCIA is a plus and asset for the role.
• Minimum 5 years P&C experience with coaching experience is highly valued.

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. We partner across the business to understand portfolio performance, identify opportunities, and support pricing decisions that balance customer value, competitiveness, and profitability.

What you will do here:

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of actuarial analysts while fostering an engaged and collaborative working environment.
• Lead and contribute to pricing analyses and initiatives that support profitable growth and strong portfolio performance.
• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight, translating analytical findings into clear and actionable pricing recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio results, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and help prioritize areas for further analysis or action.
• Plan and prioritize the team's work to deliver key pricing objectives and respond effectively to evolving business needs.
• Partner with underwriting, product, finance, data, and other actuarial teams to support informed business decisions.
• Represent the actuarial pricing function in cross-functional initiatives and act as a key point of contact for business partners.

What you bring to the table:

• University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Job-specific designation: FCAS or FCIA an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years P&C experience, including 1 year of coaching (major asset).
