As a Team Assistant (Status: Full-Time; startdate: Immediately; Location: Sudbury), you will provide support for theassigned team in their daily activities to ensure that patients receive prompt,effective customer service.

What will you do?

  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators
  • Process new referrals, and orders for services, supplies andequipment
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records
  • Enter, update and maintain a high volume of patient data in theelectronic database
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients,families and service providers, and refer callers as appropriate
  • Provide back-up support to other positions, as required

What must youhave?

  • A Grade12 diploma (minimum)
  • 2+years’related office experience
  • Accuratekeyboarding/data-entry skills
  • Proficientwith database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windowsenvironment
  • Excellentorganizational skills and ability to work independently with minimalsupervision
  • Advancedmulti-tasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals
  • Exceptionalinterpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and interacttactfully and sensitively with patients from wide-ranging cultural, ethnic andsocio-economic backgrounds
  • Excellentoral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
  • Flexibilityto work a schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends to meetorganizational needs
  • Advancedoral and written proficiency in English and in French is essential.
  • We have amandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, allemployees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination statusprior to start date.

What would give you the edge?

  • A college diploma in the health or social servicesfield, or business/office administration
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, and officeadministrative procedures/concepts
  • Knowledge of services provided by Ontario HealthatHome
  • Abilityto speak French or another second language
