Job summary

Ontario Health atHome is seeking a Team Assistant to provide essential administrative support to Care Coordinators across our care network. You will process referrals, manage patient data, and handle inquiries to ensure timely, patient-centered service.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, fluency in English and French, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Full-time in Sudbury/North Bay/Timmins/Sault Ste.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma (minimum)
  • 2+ years of related office experience
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills
  • Proficient with database software, MS Word, Excel, and other Windows applications
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Advanced multitasking skills to meet performance and service goals
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong listening
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends
  • Advanced English and French language proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators

As a Team Assistant (Permanent, Full Time; Location: Sudbury, North Bay,Timmins, or Sault Ste. Marie ) , you will provide support for the assigned team in their dailyactivities to ensure that patients receive prompt, effective customer service.

What will you do?
  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators
  • Process new referrals, and orders for services, supplies andequipment
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records
  • Enter, update and maintain a high volume of patient data in theelectronic database
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients,families and service providers, and refer callers as appropriate
  • Provide back-up support to other positions, as required
What must you have?
  • A Grade 12 diploma (minimum)
  • 2+years’ related office experience
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills
  • Proficient with database software, MS Word,Excel, and other applications in a Windows environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability towork independently with minimal supervision
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills, with the abilityto meet performance and service goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability towork as part of a team and interact tactfully and sensitively with patientsfrom wide-ranging cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,including strong listening skills
  • Flexibilityto work a schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends to meetorganizational needs
  • Advancedoral and written proficiency in English and in French is essential.
  • We have amandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, allemployees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination statusprior to start date.
Bilingual candidates with advanced oral and written proficiency in English and French will be given first consideration; however, less qualified candidates who don’t meet the language requirements may still be considered
What would give you the edge?
