Job summary

Crescent Heights Academy in Surrey, BC is seeking a teacher on-call to support our programs. The role supports daily lesson delivery and fosters a collaborative, student-centered learning environment.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor Degree, have strong classroom management and communication skills, and be comfortable working in an independent IB PYP setting. BC residency and eligibility to work in Canada are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any field.
• Experience or familiarity with IB PYP is an asset.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues to deliver daily teacher plans to students.
• Inspire, engage, motivate, and challenge learners.
• Maintain a caring classroom environment with positive relationships at the core.
• Supervise students at recess and/or lunch breaks.
• Participate in the arrival and dismissal of students.
• Take on additional duties as directed by the Head of School.

Crescent Heights Academy is looking for a teacher on-callto support our programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work alongside others todeliver daily teacher plans to our students.


• Inspire, engage, motive, and challenge our learners.


• Maintain a caring classroom environment with positive relationships at the core


• Supervise students at recess and/or lunch breaks


• Participate in the arrive and dismissal of our students


• Additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of School

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor Degree in any field


• Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate is considered an asset


• Experience teaching in an elementary setting, ideally in an independent IB PYP school


• Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada


• First Aid Certificate is ideal


• Strong classroom management skills


• Effective communication skills


• A self-starter, someone who sees a need, and strives for solutions
