Job description

Richmond Jewish Day School www.rjds.ca is seeking educational innovators committed to providing high-quality instruction in grade K-7 in BC Curriculum. We have a position for a Spanish / Hebrew Teacher, Gr 5-7 (Level 2) starting September 2024 until the end of June 2025. This is a twelve blocks per week position (0.425 FTE).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate professionalism in all job-related situations including interactions with students, parents, colleagues and community members.
  2. Build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  3. Design, implement and differentiate engaging lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  4. Assess student performance using a variety of educational instruments.
  5. Prepare periodic reports pertaining to student progress and instruction.
  6. Maintain high expectations for student learning.
  7. Communicate students’ needs to all stakeholders.
  8. Manage classroom procedures through consistent, well-articulated expectations.
  9. Promote a positive school environment that enhances student learning.
  10. Maintain a positive and collaborative climate across grade levels.
  11. Proactively participate in school community programs and events.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.
