Job summary

Richmond Jewish Day School is seeking an educational innovator to teach grades K-7 in BC Curriculum. The position is a Spanish/Hebrew Teacher for grades 5-7 (Level 2), starting September 2024 and ending June 2025, at 0.425 FTE (twelve blocks per week).

The role requires a BC teaching certificate, a Bachelor’s degree with Master’s preferred, and a commitment to differentiated instruction and student progress reporting within a collaborative school community.

Richmond Jewish Day School www.rjds.ca is seeking educational innovators committed to providing high-quality instruction in grade K-7 in BC Curriculum. We have a position for a Spanish / Hebrew Teacher, Gr 5-7 (Level 2) starting September 2024 until the end of June 2025. This is a twelve blocks per week position, (0.425 FTE).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate professionalism in all job-related situations including interactions with students, parents, colleagues and community members
• Build strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Design, implement and differentiate engaging lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student performance using a variety of educational instruments
• Prepare periodic reports pertaining to student progress and instruction
• Maintain high-expectations for student learning
• Communicate students’ needs to all stakeholders
• Manage classroom procedures through consistent, well-articulated expectations
• Promote a positive school environment that enhances student learning
• Maintain a positive and collaborative climate across grade levels
• Proactively participate in school community programs and events
• Perform other duties as assigned
