Job summary

Richmond Jewish Day School in Richmond, BC, is urgently seeking a teacher in BC Curriculum for our primary classroom from now until the end of June to cover a medical leave. The successful candidate will design, implement and differentiate engaging lessons, assess student progress with varied instruments, and communicate with students, families and staff.

A Bachelor’s degree is required and a BC teaching certificate is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Assess student performance using a variety of educational instruments
  • Prepare periodic reports pertaining to student progress and instruction
  • Maintain high-expectations for student learning
  • Communicate students’ needs to all stakeholders
  • Manage classroom procedures through consistent, well-articulated expectations
  • Promote a positive school environment that enhances student learning
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative climate across grade levels
  • Proactively participate in school community programs and events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Richmond Jewish Day School www.rjds.ca is urgently seeking a teacher in BC Curriculum for our primary classroom from now until the end of June. This is to cover a medical leave, which may turn into a permanent position.
