Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is seeking a Teacher - General Education for the Adult Education and Vocational Training department in Nunavik. Duration Aug–Dec 2026 with potential renewal. Salary ranges from CAD 54,119 to CAD 105,432 depending on experience and qualifications.

Contractual 400 hours in Kangiqsujuaq, with benefits prorated by task. Experience in adult education, literacy, and ESL is valued, with knowledge of MEES programs and Moodle a plus.

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS:

Teachers Certificate / B. Education, preferably with a major in one of the following subjects: remedial education, andragogy, English - second language or English - mother tongue.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in adult education.
• Experience in literacy teaching.
• Experience in multi-level classes.
• Experience in teaching the following subjects: English, mathematics, technology, sciences, personal, social and professional development.
• Experience in teaching English as a second language would be an asset

ASSETS:

• Knowledge and teaching of the MEES programs.
• Experience in teaching English and French as a second language.
• Knowledge of the Moodle platform.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:

Salary & benefits as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $54,119 to $105,432 annually depending on experience and qualifications. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
