DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Join the TD Securities Expense Management team and gain hands‑on experience supporting expense management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across TD Securities. This role is ideal for a highly analytical student who enjoys working with data, solving business problems, and finding practical ways to make processes more efficient.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyze large financial and operational datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support expense reporting, planning, forecasting, and management analysis.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support decision‑making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing Finance processes.
• Assist in documenting and improving key workflows and controls.
• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects for Finance leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree, in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business/Commerce or related field, with the intent of going back to school at the end of your work term (requirement for all co‑op / intern positions)
• You are enrolled or plan on pursuing your CPA designation OR are committed to pursuing a career in Finance Transformation
• You demonstrate both financial acumen combined with a strong orientation toward curiosity, innovation, and problem‑solving
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
• Detail‑oriented and quick to apply new concepts, with high personal standards for quality and accuracy
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders at various levels of seniority
• Proven ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with cross‑functional teams and business partners
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or other data visualization and automation tools is an asset.
• Comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Curious, proactive, and driven to improve how work gets done.

• This position is a 4-month work term and will commence January 4th to April 23rd, 2027.
