Renaissance Group is seeking a Tax Manager to join their practice immediately :

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to Canadian private corporations, individuals, partnerships, trusts and not-for-profit organizations.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping provide tax minimization strategies and planning opportunities.
  • Take direct lead and control of special tax engagements, ensuring they are properly planned, staffed and executed.
  • Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development.
  • Review the work of junior staff, assist in their career development through constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Be a firm leader in delivering high quality tax service and advice.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five plus years of current and / or recent income tax compliance in a senior role within a Canadian CPA firm.
  • Ability to effectively manage tax risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections and project budgets.
  • Completion of the CPA In-depth taxation course; completion of, or interest in enrolling in, Corporate Reorganizations course and / or Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner Manager.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to clearly explain complex tax and business issues to our clients.
  • A proven track record of leading teams and garnering the respect of colleagues.
  • Ability to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving.
  • A can-do attitude and commitment to excellence.
