RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide tax compliance and advisory services to Canadian private corporations, individuals, partnerships, trusts and not-for-profit organizations.
2. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping provide tax minimization strategies and planning opportunities.
3. Take direct lead and control of special tax engagements, ensuring they are properly planned, staffed and executed.
4. Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development.
5. Review the work of junior staff, assist in their career development through constructive feedback and guidance.
6. Be a firm leader in delivering high quality tax service and advice.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Five plus years of current and/or recent income tax compliance in a senior role within a Canadian CPA firm.
2. Ability to effectively manage tax risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections and project budgets.
3. Completion of the CPA In-depth taxation course; completion of, or interest in enrolling in, Corporate Reorganizations course and/or Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner Manager.
4. Superior verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to clearly explain complex tax and business issues to our clients.
5. A proven track record of leading teams and garnering the respect of colleagues.
6. Ability to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving.
7. A can-do attitude and commitment to excellence.
