MNP LLP in Canada is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our Tax team. You will assist in tax engagements, prepare personal and corporate tax returns, and support year-end tax forms.

Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary degree or certificate in accounting or a related field.
• Experience in accounting, customer service and/or client service is preferred.
• Experience in financial statement analysis and tax return preparation is asset.
• Working knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Assist in completing tax engagements by computing taxes owed and preparing returns.
• Set up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
• Prepare journal entries and provide bookkeeping services.
• Review articles of incorporation, purchase and amalgamation agreements.
• Identify issues, investigate discrepancies and discuss resolutions with managers.
• Correspond with clients and government agencies on tax compliance issues.
• Assist in preparing correspondence, reports and presentations with engagement findings.
• Work collaboratively with the client engagement team.
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.
