Extendicare is seeking a Tax Analyst based in Markham, Ontario, reporting to the Manager of Tax. The role focuses on preparing tax provisions, ensuring compliance for income tax and commodity tax, and assisting with audits.
This hybrid position supports our care-focused culture across Canada as we help people live better. You should have 1–3 years of accounting and tax experience, a university degree in accounting or finance, and be working toward a CPA designation.
Job Description The Tax Analyst will report to the Manager of Tax. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities include preparing tax provisions, ensuring compliance of income tax and commodity tax filings, assisting with tax audits, drafting objections, and special projects as required. The successful candidate will bring critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, a strong attention to detail and a desire to “dig in” to learn the business while being mindful of the strong culture and commitment of the Company to provide care and services to our residents and support our team members across Canada as we “help people live better”. This role will be based in Markham Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.
