Job summary

TOP HAWK CONTRACTORS LTD. in Surrey, BC is seeking a taper/drywall installer for permanent, full‑time on-site work. You will read blueprints, apply plaster, prepare surfaces and finish ceilings, including installing suspended grids and acoustical panels. Early shifts and weekend work may be required.

Requirements include English language proficiency, secondary school graduation, and 1 to less than 7 months of related experience. The position is on-site with no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cure freshly plastered surfaces
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts; work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages
