Job Description

Position: Tanker Driver

Primary Location: Thorold, ON

Shift: Full-time - 40 hours per week

Reports to: Regional Driver Manager

Compensation: $30/hr. CAD + Benefits (Overtime Paid for any time worked over 8 hours in a day)

Responsibilities

• Load, transfer, and unload raw product from a tanker truck
• Transport and unload chemicals into customers’ tanks safely and with the required paperwork
• Safely handle hoses during loading and unloading
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections
• Comply with all Company, Customer Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations
• Become familiar with plant operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of recent tractor/tanker experience
• Minimum one (1) year of recent tanker experience
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License, CDL Class A, with appropriate hazmat and tanker endorsements
• A clean driving record for the past three (3) years
• Be physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle and provide a valid medical card
• Be able to provide proof of experience or training to operate the type of motor vehicle used by Chemtrade safely

Physical Occupational Requirements

• Employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee occasionally required to climb stairs/ladders (including vertical)
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be "fit for duty"
