Job summary

Apptoza Inc., located in Toronto, seeks a Tandem/Mainframe Developer with strong HP NonStop (Tandem) and mainframe experience to develop, maintain, enhance, and provide production support for critical applications.

You will analyze requirements, perform coding, testing, debugging, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement reliable changes and ensure smooth releases. Experience with Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS, and SDLC/Agile is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in COBOL and TACL required.
• Experience with Enscribe, SQL/MP, and SQL/MX.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS on mainframe systems.
• Experience in development, maintenance, and production support.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies; strong problem-solving.

We are looking for a Tandem / Mainframe Developer with strong experience in HP NonStop (Tandem) and/or Mainframe technologies. The candidate will be responsible for application development, maintenance, enhancements, and production support.

Required Skills

• Experience with COBOL and TACL.
• Experience with Enscribe and/or SQL/MP, SQL/MX.
• Good knowledge of Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Experience in application development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with production support and incident resolution.
• Ability to analyze requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
