Job summary

Language Trainers is seeking a Tamil teacher for one-on-one GENERAL Tamil classes in the Ajax area. The role is freelance and part-time, with lessons possibly at the teacher's office or at the client's location in Ajax, Whitby, Pickering, or Scarborough.

The course is a 40-hour program, with two-hour sessions three times per week. Native Tamil speakers or teachers with a degree are preferred, and a valid working visa is required.

Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world. Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. Some details about the course:

• One of our clients in Oshawa would like to have one-to-one GENERAL Tamil classes.
• This student wishes to have classes at the teacher's office in Ajax, Whitby, Pickering, or Scarbrough area
• She would like to have a 40-hour course
• Classes of two hours should be held three times per week, the client is available from Monday to Friday between 1pm and 4pm and she wishes to start asap
• The client's current level of Tamil is beginner
• Motivation: My husband is Tamil speaking. I want to learn to speak with his family when we visit and teach our children so they can communicate with their family without him speaking for us

Ideal teacher should:

• Be a native Thamil speaker OR hold a teaching degree
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Have a valid working visa
• Live up to 20 miles from the client's location

Location of the classes and schedule could be flexible based on your and the client’s availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part-time position, and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
