Job summary

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Tamil teacher for one-to-one instruction with a beginner student in the Ajax/Oshawa area. The student prefers the teacher's office in Ajax, Whitby, Pickering, or Scarborough area, with a 40-hour course and sessions of two hours, three times per week.

Classes and scheduling are flexible and start ASAP. The ideal candidate is a native Tamil speaker or holds a teaching degree, with experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter, and a valid

• Experience as language teacher, translator or interpreter.
• Must have a valid working visa.
• Must live within 20 miles from the client location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one Tamil lessons to a beginner student.
• Conduct a 40-hour course with sessions of two hours, three times per week.
• Schedule classes at the teacher's office in Ajax, Oshawa, Whitby, Pickering, or Scarborough area; travel may be required.
• Classes and location can be flexibly arranged based on both parties' availability.

Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world.Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. We might have a job for you as a Tamil teacher.
Some details about the course:

• One of our clients in Oshawa would like to have one-to-one GENERAL Tamil classes.
• This student wishes to have classes at the teacher's office in Ajax, Whitby, Pickering, or Scarbrough area.
• She would like to have a 40-hour course.
• Classes of two hours should hold three times per week, the client is available from Monday to Friday between 1pm and 4pm and she wishes to start asap.
• The client's current level of Tamil is beginner.
• Motivation: My husband is Tamil speaking. I want learn to speak with his family when we visit and teach our children so they can communicate with their family without him speaking for us.
  Ideal teacher should:
• Be a native Thamilspeaker OR hold a teaching degree
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Have a valid working visa
• Live up to 20 miles from the client'slocation.

Location of the classes and schedule could be flexible based on your and the client’s availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part-time position, and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
