As a lecturer in Graphic Design, you are responsible for training students in graphic design techniques, tools and methods, while promoting their creativity and understanding of contemporary visual issues. You participate in their career path by preparing them for the demands of the visual design market.

Among the skills and concepts taught are:

• Graphic design principles (typography, typesetting, colors)
• Creation of visual identities and branding
• Digital illustration and vector drawing
• Proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Digital and web design (UI mockups, basic UX, newsletters)
• Preparing files for printing and technical standards
• Creation of portfolios and simulated client projects

Status: Contract – Graphic Design Program
Location: LaSalle College – Montreal Campus

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design educational content based on the competency-based approach;
• Lead the courses in a dynamic and student-friendly way;
• Assess students' skills in a formative and summative manner;
• Give constructive feedback on projects;
• Support students in the realization of their creative projects;
• Collaborate with the teaching teams to improve the program.

REQUIREMENTS

• Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
• Hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Graphic Design or any relevant training;
• Have 2 years of professional experience in graphic design or communication agency;
• Have already taught or supervised students (asset);
• Proficiency in Adobe CC software;
• Fluency in French and/or English depending on the language of instruction, and have a good level of communication in the second language.
