ROLE SUMMARY :
In a general way, the professor's teachingload shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation ofclasses, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes, labs and fieldwork;adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation,invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of correctionsat the students’ request and other activities whenrequired.
DUTIES :
The College is seeking hourly paidprofessors to join a dynamic team to teach credited courses withinContinuing Education in the Summer 2025. These courses will be taughtin an ONLINE SYNCHRONOUS format using teaching tools such asMicrosoft Teams, Léa and Moodle.
**All courses will be taughtfrom Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m.
322-803-HR Nutrition (45 hours)
(Wednesdays from June 4th, 2025 to July 23rd, 2025 and Tuesday,July 15th, 2025)
Students will learn about the foundations ofhealthy eating, and in particular, the nutritional requirements duringthe early childhood years. Major related issues include menu planning,establishing positive eating habits, and designing nutrition educationprograms for young children and their families.
412-L07-HR Document Design and Production in the Early ChildhoodField (45 hours)
(Thursdays from June 5th, 2025 to July 24th,2025 and Friday, July 18th, 2025)
This course is a basic textediting course where students will learn to create and edit documentswhich are related to Early Childhood Education topics.
322-70F-HR Fieldwork II (20 hours) As required for studentassessments, maximum 5 hours per student.
(Daily from FridayJuly 25th, 2025 to September 12th, 2025)
Students will participatein a 135-hour onsite experience and will work closely with aco-operating educator and a faculty fieldwork supervisor. FacultyFieldwork Coordinator is to do virtual or on-site visits, work withemployers to ensure a positive fieldwork experience for both employersand students, resolve issues if any arise, to coordinate studentevaluations and grade the student. A course outline is required. Thereis a potential of 4 students, at 5 hours per student, for a total of20 hours.
