Job Summary :

The Talent Buyer at Harken Hall is responsible for identifying, booking, and managing talent for events. This role involves managing show budgets, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that booked acts align with the venue's audience and brand. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the music industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. The role involves a variety of duties and responsibilities, as outlined below.

Compensation :

Our cash compensation for this role ranges between $75,000 and $85,000. Final offers are determined by experience and expertise and may vary from the listed amounts.

Responsibilities :

  • Talent Identification and Booking : Research and identify suitable talent for events, considering audience appeal, genre, and market demand.
  • Contract Negotiation : Negotiate contracts with artists, agents, and promoters to secure talent at competitive rates.
  • Budget Management : Create and manage show budgets, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial targets.
  • Marketing and Promotion : Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that maximize ticket sales and audience engagement.
  • Event Coordination : Work closely with venue staff, production teams, and event operations coordinators to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Relationship Building : Foster strong relationships with artists, agents, promoters, and other industry professionals to secure future bookings.
  • Market Analysis : Stay informed about market trends and emerging talent to maintain the venue's competitiveness.

Requirements :

  • Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the music industry, including current trends and emerging artists.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with artists, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills : Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain detailed records.
  • Analytical Skills : Capacity to analyze market data and make informed decisions about talent bookings.
  • Experience : Preferably 3-5 years in talent buying, event management, or related fields.
  • Education : A degree in music business, marketing, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
  • Location : Candidate should be local to the Nashville Metro Area.
