With Canadian Headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, Schindler Elevator Corporation specializes in latest-technology engineering as well as mechanical and micro-technology products designed and rigorously tested for comfort, efficiency, and reliability. Schindler products can be found in many well-known buildings throughout Canada, including Scotia Plaza, Bay & Adelaide, Edmonton Arena, Calgary Airport, and Vancouver Canada Line.

Your main responsibilities

You will be responsible for handling recruitment activities for positions across Canada. A typical day will find you conducting intake meetings with the hiring managers, finding talent from various sources, and building relationships with candidates. Your regular responsibilities:

  1. Work with hiring managers and the HR community to understand hiring requirements.
  2. Source candidates through various software platforms i.e., LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake and other professional networks.
  3. Screen resumes and conduct preliminary interviews, taking note of key skills for Hiring Managers’ review.
  4. Work through the offer process with Hiring Managers, HR, and the Total Rewards team.
  5. Maintain an organized list of open positions you are working on, keeping track of progress.
  6. Coordinate interviews between candidates and the hiring panel sending calendar invitations for virtual and in-person interviews.
  7. Conduct de-brief calls with hiring managers to ascertain candidate feedback.
  8. Build positive relationships with internal teams and candidates to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Some experience in agency recruiting or In-House recruiting.
• Dedicated to providing a good ‘customer experience’.
• A natural communicator comfortable in conversing at all levels in the organization.
• A natural curiosity to learn, ask questions, and network within the Company.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors would be amazing but not essential!
• A creative writer able to write exciting job descriptions and adverts.
• Understand the need to run recruiting processes with a D&I focus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and unflappable!
• Likes working in a collaborative environment, having fun, bringing new ideas and impetus to the team.
• Attend occasional networking events to build relationships and create a pipeline for future talent.
• Deliver a recruitment process with a focus on inclusivity, introducing a strength of diverse candidates to each requisition.

What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive Salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Competitive Bonus Incentive Program or Commission Plan
  • Wide range of professional and leadership development opportunities
  • Competitive Extended Health, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Generous Paid Time Off Plans
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program
