Job summary

Strathmore Facilities Management Inc. in Gatineau, QC, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the full recruitment cycle for seasonal and permanent staff across regions.

The role emphasizes hands-on recruitment, proactive sourcing, and delivering a positive candidate experience to support growth. You will collaborate with managers, balance targets and commissions, and use ATS tools to post openings, screen applicants, and coordinate onboarding.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in high-volume or seasonal contexts.
• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ADP is a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English.
• Dynamic, open-minded, and results-oriented personality.
• Proactive and comfortable collaborating with managers to anticipate staffing needs.
• Comfortable working with targets and commissions.
• Strong ability to manage priorities and work independently.

The role

We are looking to expand our team with a motivated Recruiter, passionate about hands-on recruitment, who will contribute to attracting the best seasonal and permanent talent across our different regions.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle for both seasonal and permanent staff in the snow removal and landscaping sectors
• Define and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent
• Post and promote job openings on various platforms
• Conduct active sourcing (resume databases, social media, internal referrals, etc.)
• Screen applications, shortlist candidates, and conduct phone or virtual interviews
• Be proactive in managing operational staffing needs with managers in each region
• Maintain a pipeline of available candidates at all times to respond quickly to hiring needs
• Participate in job fairs and recruitment events to increase company visibility and actively recruit
• Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience
• Manage and coordinate the onboarding of new employees to ensure a smooth integration

Profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience in recruitment, ideally in a high-volume or seasonal context
• Experience in customer service or sales (an asset)
• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (ADP system is an asset)
• Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English (a third language is an asset)
• Dynamic, open-minded, and results-oriented personality
• Proactive and comfortable working in collaboration with managers to anticipate staffing needs
• Comfortable working with targets and commissions
• Strong ability to manage priorities and work independently
