Job summary

SYSTRA Canada is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team in Montreal. The role is hybrid, full-time, and covers the entire recruitment cycle for diverse rail, construction, and engineering projects.

You will partner with managers, source top talent, and ensure fair evaluation and competitive offers to selected candidates. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in talent acquisition, including 3+ years in rail/construction/engineering, a HR-related bachelor’s degree, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, including at least 3 years in rail, construction, or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent).
• Dynamic, creative, passionate, and solution-oriented.
• Strong skills in evaluating candidates; excellent communication and negotiation.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire recruitment cycle.
• Build strong relationships with managers and act as a strategic partner to define job descriptions and follow up.
• Source talent like an in-house headhunter and provide top candidate experiences.
• Ensure fair and comprehensive evaluation of candidates for managers.
• Navigate talent search tools (LinkedIn, internal software, social media, etc.).
• Negotiate and present offers in collaboration with HR colleagues.

Missions/Main Duties

Talent Acquisition Specialist – Bilingual

• Manage the entire recruitment cycle
• Build strong relationships with managers: understand their hiring needs, act as a strategic partner, work with them to create compelling job descriptions, and follow up regularly
• Source talent like an in-house headhunter: identify and engage with top performers while providing them with a first-rate candidate experience
• Ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation of candidates to present the most suitable profiles to managers: analyze resumes, pre-screen candidates, and provide support during the selection process
• Skillfully navigate talent search and management tools, both within and outside the company: LinkedIn, internal software, social media, etc.
• Negotiate and present job offers and finalize agreements with selected candidates, working closely with your colleagues in Human Resources

Profile/Skills

• You have more than 8 years of experience in talent acquisition, including at least 3 years of recruitment experience in the rail, construction, or engineering sectors
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or the equivalent
• You are dynamic, creative, passionate, and solution-oriented
• With strong skills in evaluating candidates, you demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills
• You are comfortable using Microsoft Office
