Job Opportunity: Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist

MERE HR is proud to partner with a leading organization in the transportation and heavy machinery sector to recruit a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist (English/French) to join their growing team in Mississauga, ON. This full-time, in-office position offers an exciting opportunity to lead recruitment initiatives and support workforce growth in a fast-paced, operational environment.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process across all departments. This includes developing sourcing strategies, managing job postings, coordinating interviews, and facilitating offers and onboarding. The ideal candidate is a proactive recruiter who can build strong candidate pipelines and partner effectively with hiring managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment efforts from job posting to onboarding.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities.
  • Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent across various functions.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings, coordinate interviews, and manage candidate communications.
  • Prepare offer letters and facilitate pre-employment checks and onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain and update ATS/HRIS systems with applicant and employee data.
  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, etc.).
  • Support employer branding initiatives and represent the company at job fairs and networking events.
  • Ensure all recruitment practices are compliant with applicable legislation and company policies.
  • Translate or review bilingual recruitment materials and communications (English/French).

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in transportation, logistics, or industrial environments.
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is required.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing strategies and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Experience using ATS/HRIS platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • CHRP designation or progress toward certification is an asset.
