Convergint is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our amazing culture in Calgary or Vancouver. In this role, you will provide project support for a variety of Talent Acquisition programs and processes with a direct focus on sourcing candidates. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”
  • Proactively source applicants (active and passive) to fill open requisitions using a variety of tools and processes.
  • Responsible for collaborating with business leaders to ensure efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies are developed based on the needs of the business.
  • Assists in the job posting and advertisement process.
  • Screening applicants and shortlisting qualified candidates.
  • Scheduling of interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Report the progress on job vacancies on a regular basis, communicate with management team and provide regular feedback about the performance of the recruitment process.
  • Build strong relationships with the Human Resources Business Partners and hiring managers to ensure process and procedures are being followed.
  • Assists in interview process, attending and conducting interviews with business leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers during the offer letter process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates and other details.
  • Communicate with, and train managers on talent acquisition best practices, interview guides and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to employment standards, human rights, privacy legislation and employment equity.
  • Work independently on special Talent Acquisition projects as assigned by TA Manager and/or business leaders.
What You’ll Need
  • High level of organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills required (Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must have high level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to consistently deliver high levels of service to hiring managers and candidates.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency working with data analytics & reporting
  • Proficiency in social media, with a strong command of platforms such as LinkedIn & Indeed.
Requirements:
  • Diploma and/or certificate in related discipline is required, or related experience.
  • At least 3 years of previous experience as a dedicated recruiter is required.
  • Certifications: Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) certification is considered an asset
