Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong tailoring and dressmaking skills, including garment construction, alterations, and repairs.
• Fitting and measurement skills with attention to detail and accuracy in adjusting garments for different body types.
• Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and understand their requirements.
• Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, or alterations specialist in a retail or service environment is beneficial.
• Ability to operate and maintain sewing machines and related equipment, and to work safely with tools and materials.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple orders while meeting agreed timelines.
• Basic record-keeping skills to track customer orders and alterations; familiarity with point-of-sale or scheduling systems is an asset.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; vocational training or certification in tailoring or fashion design is an advantage.
