Job summary

Suitsupply is seeking a skilled tailor to deliver exceptional alterations and service in-store. You will work with management and sales associates to tailor garments for optimal fit, maintain a tidy tailor shop, and uphold the brand’s high craftsmanship standards.

Ideal candidates have previous garment alteration experience, especially in men’s tailoring, strong sewing skills, and a customer‑facing demeanor. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is preferred.

Job description

As a Tailor at Suitsupply, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience by ensuring every garment fits our customers perfectly. You will work closely with store management and sales associates, performing expert alterations and adjustments to meet client needs. From precise tailoring to maintaining a well-organized tailor shop, you will uphold the high standards of craftsmanship and style that define Suitsupply. Your attention to detail and passion for quality will directly enhance the customer experience and strengthen the brand’s reputation for excellence.
What you will do:

Perform expert alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers, including shortening/lengthening sleeves, tapering sides, lowering collars, adjusting trouser waist, and altering trouser length, thighs, and foot widths.

Accurately mark garments and ensure all alterations meet the company’shigh standardsfor fit and finish.

Collaborate with sales associates to ensure proper sizing and garment recommendations for customers.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

Provide high-level customer service by deliveringtimelyand precise alterations, contributing to an elevated in-store experience.

Who you are:

Previousexperience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring orformalwear.

Proficient in sewing techniques and the use of basic tailoring equipment and machines.

Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and colorperception.

Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
