Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking professional, dependable Tactical Security Guards to join our team in Barrie. This part-time position (Thursdays to Sundays) offers 04:00 am–11:00 am shifts, uniform provided, and opportunities for growth. You will help maintain a safe environment for staff and the public in Barrie.

Ideal candidates have Ontario Security Guard Licence, First Aid/CPR, and strong reporting skills. Prior security experience is an asset and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security Guard Licence and WSIB First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Pass Use of Force (UOF) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training.
• Previous tactical or security experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols of stairwells and common areas.
• Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
• Remove trespassers and unauthorized individuals per site procedures.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.
• Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports.
• Enforce site policies and security procedures.

Schedule:

Part-time - Thursdays to Sundays

Shift timings: 04:00 am - 11:00 am

Applicants must be available and willing to work the full schedule mentioned above, including weekends and statutory holidays.
