Job summary

GardaWorld in Garson, Ontario is seeking a Tactical Security Guard. You will patrol environments such as retail stores and security facilities, assess risk, and respond to incidents with a vigilant, professional approach.

The role is full-time with a fixed schedule, requires a valid security license and first aid. GardaWorld provides uniform, career growth opportunities, and the GardaWorld Academy for continued education.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Ability to obtain AVOP and RAIC credentials.
• Ontario Driver's Licence - G2 or G with clean drive record.
• Must be a Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizen due to site clearance.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

• Week #1: Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays;
• Week #2: Sundays, Wednesdays & Thursdays

Shift Timings

• Day rotation: 07:00 - 19:00
• Night rotation: 19:00 - 0700

This position requires Canadian citizenship or Permanent Residency due to contractual obligations with our client
