Job summary

Paladin Security Group in Fort St. John, BC is hiring a Tactical Mobile Security Guard. This full-time, on-site role offers hourly pay of CA$32.00–CA$37.00 with $32.00 during training, $34.00 during probation, and $37.00 after 3 months, with 12-hour shifts on a 4-day rotation.

You will patrol client facilities, respond to alarms, support first responders, and document incidents, while upholding safety and client relations across the Fort St. John region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security industry experience.
• Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.
• Valid Intermediate First Aid Training (Occupational First Aid Level 2).
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving abstract.
• Residency within Fort St. John or the Hudson's Hope area.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 1 year in the position.
• Availability to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 4-day rotation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Paladin vehicle to patrol client sites and respond to calls.
• Conduct regular vehicular and foot patrols, navigating stairs and terrain.
• Respond to emergency alarms, accidents, breaches, and damage.
• Direct unauthorized individuals to leave client premises.
• Dispatch and work with police, fire, and ambulance personnel.
• Escalate and report incidents to Security Command Centre promptly.
• Write accurate incident reports during each shift.
• Build relationships with nearby businesses to enhance community safety.
• Handle confidential information discreetly and stay calm in stressful situations.

Site Overview

Our tactical mobile team operates across primary client facilities in the Fort St. John region. Guards in this role handle active vehicular and foot patrols across diverse property settings, ensuring rapid emergency response and strong security coverage for community partners.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Tactical Mobile Security Guard, you will operate a Paladin vehicle to patrol client sites, respond to security calls, and protect property. Your key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular vehicular and foot patrols inside and outside facilities, including navigating stairs and uneven terrain.
• Responding promptly to emergency alarms, accident calls, security breaches, and property damage.
• Directing unauthorized individuals to leave client premises.
• Dispatching and working directly with first responders, including police, fire, and ambulance personnel.
• Escalating and reporting incidents to the Security Command Centre in a timely manner.
• Writing accurate, detailed incident reports during each shift.
• Building positive relationships with surrounding businesses to heighten overall community safety.
• Handling confidential information discreetly and maintaining composure in stressful situations.

Must Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of security industry experience.
• Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.
• Valid Intermediate First Aid Training (Occupational First Aid Level 2).
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving abstract.
• Residency within Fort St. John or the Hudson's Hope area.
