Job summary

3Pillar Global, Inc. seeks a Senior Tableau Architect to define enterprise Tableau standards, enable scalable self‑service analytics, and improve dashboard performance.

The ideal candidate combines deep Tableau expertise with data architecture and BI leadership, mentors teams, and partners with business and technology stakeholders to deliver impactful analytics solutions.

Experience with Tableau Cloud/Server/Desktop/Prep and data lakes or data warehouses is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Business Intelligence and Analytics experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Tableau architecture and administration experience.
• Deep understanding of Tableau Cloud, Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Prep.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and analytics architecture.
• Proven expertise developing/integrating BI solutions with large Data Lakes, or Enterprise Data Warehouses.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
• Experience with performance tuning and dashboard optimization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Define and maintain enterprise Tableau architecture, standards, and best practices.
• Lead data modeling initiatives to support high-performance dashboards and reports.
• Design and maintain semantic and reporting layers for enterprise analytics.
• Evaluate and implement capabilities within Tableau Data Management, Tableau Data 360, Tableau Pulse, and emerging Tableau technologies.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Product, and Application Development teams.
• Guide modernization initiatives involving Analytics Platform and existing Enterprise Data Lake.
• Familiar with governance, security, data quality, and metadata management practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to analytics and development teams.
• Support performance tuning and platform scalability initiatives.

Position Summary

This role will be responsible for defining Tableau architecture standards, enabling scalable self-service analytics, improving dashboard performance, and driving best practices across reporting and data visualization initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong current technical expertise in Tableau with data architecture and business intelligence experience and can mentor team members while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver impactful analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise Tableau architecture, standards, and best practices.

Participate or Lead data modeling initiatives to support high-performance dashboards and reports.

Design and maintain semantic and reporting layers for enterprise analytics.

Evaluate and implement capabilities within Tableau Data Management, Tableau Data 360, Tableau Pulse, and emerging Tableau technologies.

Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Product, and Application Development teams.

Guide modernization initiatives involving Analytics Platform and existing Enterprise Data Lake

Familiar with governance, security, data quality, and metadata management practices.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of Business Intelligence and Analytics experience.

Strong expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and analytics architecture.

Proven expertise developing/integrating BI solutions with large Data Lakes, or Enterprise Data Warehouses.

Experience with performance tuning and dashboard optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Tableau Data Management, Tableau Prep and/or Data 360.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience with Snowflake, Databricks.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.

Nice to have - Tableau Certified Professional or equivalent certification.
