Job summary

Nova Scotia Power, Energy Delivery in Sydney, NS, is seeking a T&D Supervisor to lead a skilled field workforce in the safe, reliable delivery of electricity. You will coordinate resources, manage day-to-day operations, and mentor a team across operations, maintenance, and construction while upholding safety and operational excellence.

The role requires leadership experience in the electrical sector, a Red Seal PLT or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Grade XII education or equivalent with a Red Seal Powerline Technician (PLT) Certificate or equivalent, or Engineering Technology credential preferred.
• Six or more years of relevant supervisory/leadership experience in electrical sector or related field is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution operations, safety requirements, and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture through monitoring, evaluations, and incident investigations.
• Lead daily field operations for safe, reliable delivery of electricity to customers.
• Direct operations, maintenance, and construction activities with coordinated resources.
• Coach and support workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with field supervisors, support teams, and external partners.
• Assist in budget planning and cost management to meet priorities.
• Participate in rotational supervisory standby across the province.
