Job summary

EA SPORTS in Burnaby, British Columbia, is seeking a senior engine programmer to help push primary systems and the shared engine into the future. The role focuses on prototyping, planning, and collaborating with other engineers to build systems and workflows that improve efficiency.

The position is part of a hybrid studio with three in-office days weekly (Tuesday to Thursday) at the EAV Studio in Burnaby. The salary range is discussed during the posting based on education, qualifications, and

Qualifications

5+ years of programming experience with C++.
Experience in engine development.
Strong understanding of parallel programming concepts.
Experience with performance and memory profiling tools.
Experience in embedded systems.
Ability to communicate with non-technical partners (Artists, Designers, Producers).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with design and engineers to create clear, estimable technical designs.
Provide tested, high-quality technical implementations that meet requirements.
Monitor performance and memory budgets in development work.
Increase team efficiency through tooling or workflow improvements.
Contribute to EA core technologies in an architecturally sound way.
