Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support the migration from NexCloud and other legacy PM/EHR systems to Nextech Practice+. The role focuses on data integrity, system stability, and seamless user experiences during migration and ongoing operations.
You will act as a Tier 3 escalation point, troubleshoot complex issues, and liaise with Nextech vendor support after migration, while applying scripting and SQL to automate tasks and improve documentation.
The Systems Engineer II - Practice Management Platform Exp. plays a critical role in supporting Forefront’s transition from NexCloud and other legacy practice management/EHR systems to Nextech Practice+, ensuring data integrity, system stability, and seamless user experiences throughout migration and ongoing operations. This role combines technical expertise, workflow understanding, system administration, and integration oversight to support clinical and operational teams using Nextech platforms.
The role functions as a Tier 3 escalation point, providing advanced troubleshooting for complex system issues, integration failures, performance problems, and user access concerns, while serving as the primary technical liaison between internal teams and Nextech vendor support after migration.
This is an engineering-minded role requiring comfort with light coding, scripting, and SQL to solve operational challenges through reproducible solutions, root-cause analysis, automation, and purpose-built utilities. The role also requires fluency with modern AI tools to improve efficiency, documentation, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
