Job summary

The Co-operators Group in Regina area is seeking a Systems Developer to provide IT systems development and support. You will work on analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation to meet client needs. The role is hybrid with 2 days in office and requires English.

You will design scalable solutions, participate in the SDLC, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 3 years of relevant IT experience.
• Strong understanding of application components, system interfaces, and integrations with other applications.
• Experience supporting various phases of the systems development lifecycle, including analysis, programming, testing, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and system requirements, assess impacts, and translate needs into practical technical solutions.
• Design and develop maintainable, reusable, and scalable solutions for small to medium-complexity enhancements and applications.
• Plan and manage development activities, including effort estimates, coding, debugging, and progress tracking, escalating risks as needed.
• Develop and execute unit testing and collaborate with analysts to support testing and resolve defects.
• Support deployment by contributing to plans, coordinating activities, and providing post-implementation support.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation covering requirements, design, testing, and ongoing system support.
