Job summary

CGL is seeking a Systems Developer to join the Digital and Advisor Technology team. You will build system-based solutions, write code, and document processes to enable continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes collaboration across IT partners and delivering value in a hybrid work environment. Qualified candidates have five years of Salesforce development experience, familiarity with OmniStudio, ServiceNow and integrations, plus a relevant IT/CS education.

Qualifications

• Five years of Salesforce development experience, preferably in Financial Services Cloud.
• Experience with OmniStudio, ServiceNow, JIRA and Confluence is an asset.
• Post-secondary education in IT, CS, or related discipline.
• Advanced experience with integrations, design patterns and SDLC for scalable apps.
• Knowledge of Agile practices, TDD or BDD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into a cohesive working plan following guidelines.
• Write code to implement functionalities of small to medium complexity.
• Create implementation and back-out plans for a system.
• Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with IT partners and communicate analysis and results.

As the Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of moderately complex and diverse team initiatives with the support of your team members.

How You Will Create Impact

• Translating requirements into a cohesive working plan in accordance with guidelines and standards.


• Writing code to implement functionalities and features of small to medium complexity.


• Creating an implementation and back-out plan for a single system.


• Performing unit testing for developed code, supporting system and user acceptance testing, and resolving defects by troubleshooting root causes.


• Fostering productive relationships with Information Technology (IT) business partners and communicating analysis and results accordingly.

To Join Our Team

• You have five years of experience in Salesforce development working with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud would be an asset


• Experience with OmniStudio, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence


• Have obtained Salesforce certifications


• You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.


• Having advanced experience designing, developing, configuring and/or administration of solutions using the Salesforce platform with integrations is an asset.


• You have advanced experience with integrations, design patterns, developing code and guiding the SDLC of applications from inception through to post-deployment support for highly scalable complex development projects.


• You have knowledge of Agile practices, Test Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).

Expected salary/hourly range $60,564 - $100,956

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
