Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Support, this position monitors and evaluates all Children’s Aid Society of Toronto’s (CAST) IT Infrastructure security incidents, coordinates remediation and provides an advanced level of application and technical support services to CAST staff.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor and review Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection and Qualys assessment tools and remediate
  • Network Assessment and Documentation (including technical, operational, and economic assessment)
  • Monitor, track, and evaluate IT infrastructure incidents and coordinate remediation with IT Tier III team
  • Configure and install applications using Microsoft Intune
  • Onboard new devices using Microsoft Intune
  • Conduct and support investigations for security-related and other incidents
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc intelligence assessments and analytical reports for dissemination to various audiences, including Executive Team, Senior leadership Team and Employees
  • Support the assessment, implementation and deployment of new technology and initiatives throughout their lifecycle
  • Provide second level technical support services for CAST
  • Promptly respond to phone, voice mail and self-service inquiries
  • Log and track incidents and requests in the help desk management system (BMC – TrackIt, FreshService)
  • Follow up with end users, provide status updates, and see problems through to resolution
  • Prioritize issues and requests and escalate when required
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot basic network, printer, remote access and connectivity issues
  • Assist with hardware & software inventory management
  • Identify and document processes and procedures
  • Monitor security information and event management (SIEM)
  • Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience

  • A completed undergraduate degree / diploma in an Information Technology related discipline.
  • Three years of working experience providing IT support in a similar environment

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical information to a wide range of end users
  • Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Detailed understanding of the intelligence cycle, with a strong analytical acumen and ability to game scenarios based on indicators
  • Ability to understand and analyse behaviour, processes, and problems of medium complexity, draw actionable conclusions, and make swift and sound recommendations
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Basic working knowledge of Active Directory, Networking (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP), Remote Access, Mac OSX, Printers / Projectors, Polycom Room Video systems
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot Cisco switches.
  • The ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues

Assets

  • Experience using IT security systems such as Qualys, Microsoft and Exabeam SIEM, Knowledge of Knowbe4 security tools and Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection
