The Role

S3 Technologies is currently offering an excellent career opportunity for a project analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, preparing and executing many types of IT projects for our clients.

Job Features

You have a VERY high degree of flexibility when it comes to your working hours. You manage your own schedule. In most cases, you plan your maintenance at the time of your choosing. You are not on a call rotation.

  • Choice of projects: You choose the projects you want to work on 99% of the time! The list of projects is varied and stimulating, so you will never twiddle your thumbs.
  • Autonomy: You organize and work on your projects individually. You are responsible for your workload of around 5 to 10 projects at a time. Your ability to organize, prioritize and structure your work will be key.
  • Continuous learning: We support you in your ambitions for advancement and the development of your knowledge by helping you finance your certifications and training with the approval of your manager.

You are passionate about your work and can’t stop yourself from always putting in more hours? Billable hours above target can be accrued or paid out at the end of each month. We compensate you for the extra effort you put in. You help us achieve our goals; we help you achieve yours.

  • Working from home: You have the option of working from home 5 days a week or at our offices for the times when we hold monthly events, to participate in our various social clubs and for occasional visits to our customers.

Success Criteria

By 6 months: You completely understand the internal tools and processes. You have successfully passed a 3 month probation period. You are working closely with the project managers and account management team in the successful delivery of the projects. You are coordinating with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition to operations.

By 12 months: You can now run multiple types of projects. You have established relationships with many important clients. As an expert in a variety of technologies, you can coordinate and strategize creatively on more important types of clients and projects. You oversee the technical execution of the projects to which you are assigned.

Main Job Responsibilities
  1. Establish the project’s technical work plan: Once a project is approved, you will be responsible for developing a technical work plan based on the initial scope that was given to the client. This will include the various steps required to complete the project within the budget and the schedule.
  2. Provide an analysis: You will also be responsible for gathering all the necessary information and details about the IT infrastructure you are working on so that you can follow your plan accordingly.
  3. Install and configure many types of IT solutions: You will be required to implement many types of IT solutions, following the most rigorous industry standards.
  4. Ensure proper documentation and monitoring: For each project we conduct, documentation and tracking must of course be updated in our internal systems.
  5. Provide support to the teams responsible for service deliverables: Finally, to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge to our support teams, you will need to inform them of any significant changes.

Job Requirements
  • DEC or AEC in a job-related field, or equivalence
  • 5 to 8 years experience in IT as a systems administrator
  • Good command of written and spoken French
  • Experience in configuring, installing and deploying solutions such as Active Directory, LAN / WAN, firewall, switch, wireless technology, Exchange, Office 365, etc.
  • Experience with Cisco, Dell and Fortinet
  • Computer troubleshooting skills (hardware and software)
  • Basic scripting skills (PowerShell)
  • Ability to travel to customers’ premises, mostly located in the Montreal area
  • Experience in change management (including risk analysis and mitigation)
Assets
  • Experience in project execution
  • Experience working for MSPs
  • Experience collaborating with a project manager
  • Relevant training or certifications (Fortinet, Azure or Windows Server)
