Job summary

CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures in Banff, Alberta, is seeking a Systems Administrator to own CMH’s server infrastructure, Active Directory, endpoints, and Entra ID. You will act as a technical SME within the team and provide Tier 2 support and mentorship to IT staff.

The role is hands-on and in-person, based in Banff, with occasional on-call work and travel to CMH locations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and security best practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• 3+ years of professional office experience.
• 2+ years of server, endpoint & cloud infrastructure support.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco and telephony are assets.
• Full Class 5 driving license.
• Experience in the ski industry is an asset.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ownership and administration of servers, storage systems, and related software.
• Change control, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
• Act as team SME for Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Provide Tier 2 support for users and operational systems.
• Technical mentorship of team members.
• Manage communication between stakeholders, vendors, business users, and technical experts.
• Install, configure, and test server, network, and endpoint hardware.
• Manage data backups, disaster recovery operations.
• Maintain OS, server firmware, and patching.
• Implement infrastructure upgrades and new technologies.
• Advise on cybersecurity best practices.
