Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Extensive scripting experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell or equivalent).
• Strong Linux server and web application software management experience (Apache, Tomcat, Node.js, HAProxy).
• Solid DevOps knowledge, IaC and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Gitlab, Chef).
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Experience with Elastic Stack and web traffic analytics.
• Familiarity with virtualization (KVM or equivalent).
• Solid knowledge of networking software/hardware and protocols.
• Experience in Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Technical documentation creation/maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.
• Excellent communication for non-technical users.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker is an asset.
• Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring tools (Nagios, Munin, Zabbix, Prometheus) is an asset.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure automation coding using scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell or equivalent).
• Strong experience in maintaining and operating Linux based servers and web application software (Apache, Tomcat, Node.js, HAProxy).
• In-depth knowledge of practices and tools related to DevOps, IaC and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Gitlab, Chef).
• Proficient with one or more scripting languages such as Python.
• Knowledge of web traffic log collection and analytics platforms (Elastic Stack).
• Working knowledge of virtualization, KVM, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Experience in supporting Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database environments.
• Advanced skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work and learn independently.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate technical details courteously and clearly to non-technical users.
• Experience with Container technology such as Kubernetes, or Docker is an asset.
• Experience in at least one end-user ticket management system.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Munin, Zabbix, or Prometheus is an asset.
