Grundfos is seeking a System Tester in Brockville, Ontario to validate and troubleshoot water treatment systems from test bench to site. You will verify electrical, mechanical, and PLC programming aspects to ensure systems meet engineered specs before delivery.

Qualifications

  • Instrumentation experience with flow meters, level transducers, float switches, and similar devices.

Responsibilities

  • Test water treatment systems against engineered drawings and documentation, following required testing processes and completing Control Narrative documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, PLC programming, and process issues, engaging Engineering, Production, and Project Management to resolve problems and prevent recurrence
  • Complete system testing on schedule while maintaining strict focus on quality and safety standards
  • Communicate across departments to ensure successful system test outcomes and smooth startup transitions
  • Report issues through the quality tracking system and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

As our newSystem Tester, you will be testing and validating water treatment systems end-to-end, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and programming issues to ensure every system meets engineered specifications before it leaves the facility. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Manufacturing & System Testing team, you'll create impact by Ensuring the reliability and quality of water treatment systems that deliver clean water to communities by catching and resolving issues before systems reach the field.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Test water treatment systems against engineered drawings and documentation, following required testing processes and completing Control Narrative documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, PLC programming, and process issues, engaging Engineering, Production, and Project Management to resolve problems and prevent recurrence
  • Complete system testing on schedule while maintaining strict focus on quality and safety standards
  • Communicate across departments to ensure successful system test outcomes and smooth startup transitions
  • Report issues through the quality tracking system and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

Above all, you are a detail-oriented problem solver with strong PLC programming expertise and hands-on instrumentation experience, comfortable working across electrical, mechanical, and process disciplines in a manufacturing environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or water utilities environment
  • Instrumentation experience with flow meters, level transducers, float switches, and similar devices

  • Cross-disciplinary troubleshooting skills spanning electrical, mechanical, programming, and process systems
  • Experience testing or commissioning water treatment or industrial process systems

The salary range for this position is $50,000.00 - $58,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
