We have an exciting opportunity for a System Technician working out of Salmon Arm, BC, reporting to the Manager of Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting millions of customers with Xfinity high-speed Internet, TV, and home phone, and assisting in the construction and maintenance of our outside plant network to deliver an exceptional customer experience continually.

What you'll do

• Install Rogers Xfinity products and services including Internet, Home phone, TV/streaming
• Service and maintain products with in-home support for customers, educating them on the best Rogers has to offer
• Operate test equipment related to the maintenance of coaxial and fiber systems, including system analyzers, field strength meters, TDR, and locators
• Maintain accurate system records and support documentation regarding all work orders
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex, customer-impacting issues effectively and promptly
• Perform various other duties as required

What you bring

• A valid full class-5 driver's license

• Comfort working outside year-round
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, out-of-town work, rotational on-call duties, weekends, and statutory holidays when required
• Physically able to perform all aspects of the job, including working at heights, heavy lifting up to 100 lbs, and maneuvering through crawl spaces
• Customer-centric focus and commitment to quality control
• Technical knowledge with a desire to stay updated on industry trends
• Adherence to all safety requirements with safety always a priority

Additional information

To protect our people, brand, and assets, a pre-employment background check will be conducted. All candidates must clear a criminal background check. A credit check and driver’s abstract may also be required depending on the role.

In some provinces, such as British Columbia, a valid security worker license is required to perform duties. You must obtain and maintain this license and provide proof before your start date.
