Job summary

AMD is seeking a System Power Delivery Architect in Markham to drive board-level power delivery for Client and Graphics platforms. You will define requirements for validation platforms, reference designs and AMD products, ensuring efficiency, cost, and space constraints are met.

As a key contributor, you will shape the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for power delivery, collaborate with SoC teams, and work with external vendors to align products with AMD standards.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting power delivery for platforms.
• Knowledge of x86 PC platforms architecture and interfaces.
• Familiarity with industry power interface standards and manageability.
• Battery charging/management experience and related design considerations.

Responsibilities

• Primary technical contact point for system/platform level power delivery solutions.
• Define power delivery requirements for validation platforms, customer reference designs and products.
• Consider VR efficiency, board area cost and solution availability in architecture decisions.
• Define and iterate long-term technical strategy and roadmap for client and graphics power delivery.
• Document platform power infrastructure requirements for Client and Graphics SoCs.
• Collaborate with SoC power architects and 3rd party vendors to align AMD requirements.
