Job summary

TechDoQuest in Montreal, Canada is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in pneumatics to lead the architecture, specifications, and qualification activities for aeronautical systems. You will manage interfaces with suppliers and internal groups, and perform functional modeling and trade studies to ensure compliance with certification standards.

You will review design documents, perform analysis of test results, and prepare reports demonstrating certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• 5-15 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
• Excellent knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic pneumatics knowledge and interfacing disciplines.
• Familiar with DO-160 and Mil-Std 810.
• Familiar with ARP4754A.
• Knowledge in functional modelling and system performance testing.
• Comfortable with engineering and project management.
• Knowledge of Model Based Engineering or simulation software.

Responsibilities

Required Skills

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• You have ideally 5-15 years of relevant technical experience in an aerospace engineering field
• You have excellent knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamic concepts.
• You quickly understand complex issues and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You possess basic knowledge in the pneumatics field and interfacing technical disciplines such as system installation, avionics, power plant and others.
• You are familiar with component qualification (DO-160, Mil-Std 810)
• You are familiar with Design Process Assurance (ARP4754 A)
• You have knowledge in functional modelling and system performance testing.
• You are comfortable with the technical aspects of engineering as well as project management.
• You have knowledge of system design tools such as Model Based Engineering or simulation software.
