Job description

System Analyst role at The Driving Force Group of Companies

The Driving Force Group of Companies is a network of world‑class transportation and fleet management solutions companies. We’re proud to be an Alberta success story that began in a rented office above a small service station. With a can‑do attitude and people‑first culture, we’ve grown into an industry leader, operating across Canada and the United States, spanning over 40 locations with over 600+ employees.

We are currently looking for a Systems Analyst at our Edmonton corporate location.

What Moves You
  • You don't just maintain systems; you are driven to architect enterprise-wide solutions that deliver uncompromising security, reliability, and long-term scalability across hybrid environments.
  • You thrive in defining the technical future, playing a key role in IT governance, policy, and technology roadmap planning that acts as a critical bridge between high-level business strategy and technical execution.
  • You recognize that robust cybersecurity is the foundation of the business, and you are motivated to lead vulnerability assessments, execute timely remediation, and define policies that protect the entire IT ecosystem.
  • You believe in lifting others, acting as a technical leader and escalation point who guides and coaches junior staff, ultimately contributing to the IT team's overall expertise and capability.
What You’ll Do
  • Design, implement, and optimize our hybrid IT backbone (AWS, Azure, M365, network, servers) to ensure market-leading performance, security, and integration across locations.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the effective, secure, and cost-efficient use of cloud platforms, and lead the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance business resiliency.
  • Engineer and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate complex infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools, and collaborate with development teams to dramatically improve the performance and scalability of our enterprise applications.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and testing, perform capacity planning, and actively monitor/respond to complex security incidents, establishing enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies and controls.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of demonstrable, enterprise-scale experience managing complex, multi-branch environments and leading significant infrastructure projects from planning through sustainment.
  • Proven proficiency with Azure, AWS, and M365 ecosystems, enterprise networking (SD-WAN, VOIP, firewalls), and a strong background in implementing modern cybersecurity frameworks and controls.
  • Documented ability to lead complex IT initiatives, applying methodologies like Agile, coupled with expert skills in capacity planning, trend analysis, and performance optimization through scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Exceptional soft skills to influence executive stakeholders, mentor technical colleagues, and translate high-level business challenges into thoughtful, proactive, and creative technical solutions.
What We Offer
  • Competitive wages and flexible benefits.
  • Our company RRSP matching program.
  • 50% off rentals at any of our Driving Force locations.
  • Learning and growth opportunities.
  • Paid vacation and wellness time.
  • We support your wellbeing through our Thrive wellness program.
  • We ‘Celebrate Great’ through our rewards and recognition programs.

While we welcome all interested candidates, only those selected for an interview will receive further communication.

If you require accommodation during any part of the recruitment process, please let us know. Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening. This may include a driver abstract, criminal history check, reference checks and/or credit check.
