Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking candidates for an interview position responsible for moving trailers to and from unload/load doors and throughout the yard. You may also load, unload, and sort packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and at least 6 months of package handler or switching/CDL operator experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• Six (6) months of experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.
• In the province of Quebec, bilingual (French and English) required.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from unload/load doors and throughout the yard.
• Physically load, unload, and/or sort packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing.
• Load and unload packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor system carts and load gratings.
• Lift, carry, push and pull packages for shifts of two to four hours.
• Determine the appropriate conveyor system by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and memorizing information and sorting packages accordingly.

• Lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages on a continuous and repetitive basis for approximate shifts of two to four hours.
