Job summary

British Swim School of Edmonton is seeking a part-time swim instructor. Your days will be filled with kids splashing, having fun, and plenty of smiles and laughter as you teach using our aquatics program.

We offer pay of 19.00 to 21.00 CAD per hour, shifts that fit your schedule, personal development reimbursements, and paid birthdays off. You can train to teach even if you're not yet an expert.

Qualifications

• You need to be a swimmer with an understanding of the four strokes.
• Love working with children and seeing them progress.
• Be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work.
• Be willing to work year-round and have flexible weekday/weekend availability.
• Be reliable and dependable and able to commute to locations.
• Certification in First Aid & CPR (Lifeguard cert is a plus).
• Must be 16+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Teach students of all ages using the British Swim School aquatics program.
• Follow the approved teaching method and help children learn water safety.
• Create a positive, fun, and safe learning environment.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SWIM INSTRUCTORS

As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Even if you are not an expert swim instructor, that’s ok!We can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach, but here is what wedoneed from you.

• You need to be a“swimmer”. Ideally, you understand all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water
• You've got tolove working with children and seeing them progress
• You need to beupbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• Be willing to work all year-round
• Be able to work weekdays and weekend.
• Be reliable and dependable
• You need to be able to reliably commute to our locations.
• Certified in First Aid & CPR (Lifeguard certification is an asset).
• Hard-working, dynamic, and opened to learning new ways of teaching
• An adaptable mindset that is open to different aquatic experiences
• Must be 16+ years of age
